Did you know that many keys can be cut by code off-site and mailed directly to you? Whether it’s a file cabinet or an automobile, we are often able to generate a working key without ever touching the lock.

The standard cam locks used on many file cabinets, desks and cabinets often have a code stamped on the face of the lock which can be translated by our proprietary software into the data necessary to cut a working key.

Further, there are many vehicles on the road today that still use a mechanical key with no transponder chip, and, upon providing proof of ownership and a VIN, you can order a working key by mail for significantly less than you would have to pay if a locksmith made a service call to your physical location. Transponder keys can also be cut by VIN, though they will need to be programmed to the vehicle by a service professional with the proper diagnostic tool, with the exception of certain GM vehicles with on-board programming options that require no special tools. Even if your vehicle requires a programmed key to start, sometimes it’s still a good idea to have a mechanical key copy made that will work the door or trunk and unlock the ignition in the event of an emergency.
